And speaking of cranes, this crane (below) located inside the dam by the turbines is also original. Now that’s making machinery that lasts a lifetime. Sort of like our old Sears freezer that we got as a gift in 1987 that at last report was still working. I could not tell if the overhead crane was made in Ambridge, PA. My guess is that it was. When we visited Panama we saw gates used to open and close the locks that were from Ambridge. Ambridge stands for American Bridge.
